Jamie Foxx recently experienced a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, he is now in recovery.
Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, released a statement on Instagram confirming that her father had a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital. She expressed gratitude for his fans’ support and reassured them that he is already on the road to recovery.
The exact cause of Jamie Foxx’s hospitalization is still unknown, but it is believed to have been a serious matter, as his family rushed to be by his side. TMZ reported that he is now communicating, which is a positive sign.
“We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family – some of whom were not in town – came to the hospital. One source told us, ‘He’s communicating now, and that’s good news’,” the TMZ report stated. The Foxx family has requested privacy during this time.
The family, however, didn’t provide any further details on the matter.
Prior to his hospitalization, Jamie Foxx was seen two days earlier in Atlanta where he is currently working on the film Back in Action.
Foxx has had a successful career in the entertainment industry and is a well-known actor. He won an Academy Award for his role as Ray Charles in the movie Ray and has starred in many other films such as Jarhead, Django Unchained, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Foxx’s next project, Back in Action, will feature him alongside Cameron Diaz, who has been absent from Hollywood since 2014. Diaz has credited Foxx as the driving force behind her return to the big screen.
It is unclear whether Foxx’s recent health scare will impact the filming schedule for the upcoming movie.
